Inspiring Young Minds
Our Values and Ethos
We have six school Christian values; we focus on one value per half term, with the aim of embedding a strong moral compass across our community.
Autumn 1: Honesty
Autumn 2: Respect
Spring 1: Courage
Spring 2: Forgiveness
Summer 1: Friendship
Summer 2: Hope
Our aim is for every member of our school community to reach their potential through:
Excellence in Teaching and Learning: An excellent teacher is creative and flexible. An excellent learner is not afraid of taking risks. Our teachers inspire inquisitive young minds by having thorough subject knowledge and a deep understanding of how each child learns. They celebrate success as well as being able to identify improvements that can be made and to make them. Excellent teachers have an enthusiasm and passion for learning.
Engagement in a varied and inspiring curriculum: This will stimulate an intellectual curiosity and appetite for learning while developing those skills children need to become independent lifelong learners. Every child should be able to experience success and enjoy acquiring skills and knowledge.
Enjoyment and Achievement: We aim for our whole school community to achieve their maximum potential while making a positive contribution to the life of the school. We strive to equip everyone with the confidence and necessary skills to ensure their future wellbeing.
Extending partnerships to families and the wider community: At Bloxham Primary School we acknowledge the vital partnership between home and school if the children are to benefit from the best education. This partnership underpins everything that we do and believe.
Encouraging each other: We are extremely proud to share our achievements with all in the school and the wider community. We promote every individual’s spiritual emotional and social development. We recognise that everyone is unique and therefore encourage each individual to explore their own beliefs and faith through the power of reflection. We look after each other and value positive behaviour and attitudes.
